چکیده

Abstract The outbreak of the new severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a public health emergency. Asthma does not represent risk factor for COVID-19 in several published cohorts. We hypothesized that SARS-CoV-2 proteome contains T cell epitopes, which are potentially cross-reactive to allergen epitopes. aimed at identifying homologous peptide sequences by means two distinct complementary bioinformatics approaches. Pipeline 1 included prediction MHC Class I and II epitopes contained allergens along with alignment elaborate ranking 2 involved overlapping peptides known allergen-derived Our results indicate large number epitope pairs including as well de novo predicted high probability cross-reactivity. Allergen sources, such Aspergillus fumigatus , Phleum pratense Dermatophagoides species particular interest due their association multiple candidate peptides, independently applied bioinformatic approach. In contrast, derived from food allergens, class did achieve silico were therefore further investigated. findings warrant experimental confirmation examination functional importance responses.

SARS-COV-2 Virus; Immune Responses and The Immunopathogenesis

Abstract Background and Objectives Clinical features of SARS-COV-2 virus include fever, headache, cough, sore throat, and shortness of breath, and in severe forms it leads to disseminated intravascular coagulation, septic shock, and ultimately death. Excessive secretion of proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1 leads to cytokine storms in this disease. The emergence of new va...

Immunological and Clinical Aspects of Immune Responses to SARS-CoV-2

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by a coronavirus named SARS-CoV-2 from the family Coronaviridae, was first reported in December 2019 in China. The disease have mild or severe symptoms such as fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, body aches, and gastrointestinal symptoms, followed by severe inflammation, cytokine storm, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and dysfunction of...

CD4 T-cell-mediated heterologous immunity between mycobacteria and poxviruses.

The bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) strain of Mycobacterium bovis is used in many parts of the world as a vaccine against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Some epidemiological evidence has suggested that BCG immunization may have unpredicted effects on resistance to other pathogens. We show here in a mouse model that BCG immunization followed by antibiotic treatment to clear the host of the pathogen ...

SARS-CoV-2 infection: its psychiatric manifestations

Background:  The clinical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection was initially dominated by respiratory symptoms. However the clinical spectrum is wide and neuropsychiatric syndromes are also a source of medical concern. Our aims are to present an atypical clinical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection characterized by auditory hallucinations and unusual behavior and to emphasize the diversity of ...
